Justin Williams scores twice in win over Florida

Wiliams scored the game winning goal midway through the third to help the Canes defeat the Panthers, 4-3. His face paid the price for his first goal as the initial shot from Brett Pesce bounced off Williams right cheek and into the net. The win vaulted the Hurricanes into the 2nd wild-card position ahead of idle Columbus.

After not registering a single point In Tuesday’s loss to the Rangers, Williams gandered 3 points on Thursday. Along with his two goals, he also added an assist. The veteran has been fairly consistent. Over the past five games he has tallied 8 points with three of those games being multiple point contests. On the season Williams has 41 points with 17 goals and 24 assists.
