Colin Wilson turns on the spin-dry cycle

Colin Wilson potted a goal in the Avs much needed 6-2 home victory over the Edmonton Oilers, helping keep distance on the trailing Arizona Coyotes for the final playoff position. He finished the night with one point, a minus-1 rating, three shots, one hit and one block.

Fantasy Impact

The goal he scored was what appeared to be slow motion spin-o-rama that beat the Oilers tender. It wasn't the prettiest we've seen but it was effective and counted. Wilson has been a silent beauty for the Avs in their late season push as he's taking elbows to the face, drawing blood, and working in the tough spots to come out with the puck and make plays happen. Grit isn't something you'll see on the score sheet but he has plenty of it. He's up to 12 goals and 26 points this year.

Colin Wilson scores in victory

Colin Wilson buried a goal on Wednesday night helping the Avalanche win at home against the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins 6-3. One was his number in the game as he finished with one point, plus-1, one shot, one hit and one block.

Fantasy Impact

Wilson has quietly been putting together a solid season helping provide depth to the Avalanche. Since the first line is completely dominating the points department, it's easy to overlook what's happening with the rest of the team. The goal was a beauty tic tac toe from Mikko Rantanen, to Nathan Mackinnon, to a well positioned and open Colin Wilson who easily beat Tristan Jarry. He now has ten points (four on the PP) through his first 24 games this year.

Colin Wilson scores his third of the season

Colin Wilson buried goal number three of 2018 and helped the Avalanche defeat the Buffalo Sabres 6-1 on Thursday. He finished the game with one goal, plus-1, five shots, and a pair of hits.

Fantasy Impact

Colorado's second line of Tyson Jost, Alex Kerfoot and Colin Wilson is carrying over momentum and chemistry from last year. They are providing good scoring depth and contributing behind their top unit. There are better fantasy wingers, but Wilson makes for a decent streamer if you're in a pinch as he's not afraid to shoot, hit or get in front of pucks.

Colin Wilson has a two point outing during loss Saturday

Colin Wilson scored a goal and earned an assist during Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild.

Fantasy Impact

Wilson scored his goal on a rebound attempt after Yannick Weber was denied at the 8:16 mark of the third period to put Nashville on the board. The goal ended Wilson's three game pointless drought and he was credited with an assist on P.K. Subban's goal later in the third. He currently has 23 points through 48 contests this season.

Colin Wilson picks up an assist during win Tuesday

Colin Wilson earned an assist and a plus-two rating during Tuesday's 4-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks.

Fantasy Impact

Wilson made a beautiful feed to Viktor Arvidsson in the first period, displaying great vision to get the Predators even with the Canucks at 1-1. He was blanked on the score-sheet for the first two games in February, but hopefully the assist tonight will increase his confidence for the playoff stretch. Wilson now has 21 points through 44 games on the season.
