Fantasy Impact
A much needed performance from Colorado's depth players as it's been a rough month for them. He opened the scoring in the game by burying a rebound off a Tyson Jost shot. The assists weren't that pretty but count nonetheless and brings him up to 19 goals and 18 assists on the year. Colorado will need to take this game as a push-off point for March and carry momentum if they want to see the post-season.
Carl Soderberg opened the scoring for the Avs which proved to be the first of seven goals they buried on the lowly Los Angeles Kings and helping them win 7-1. He accumulated two points (G,A) a plus-2 rating, five shots, two hits and four blocks through 18:08 of icetime.
Fantasy Impact
That's four goals in three games for the big center. He's definitely chipping in where he can with the second line and is providing some much needed depth to a top heavy Avs unit. The goal was a tip in on a corner shot from Tyson Barrie. Keep an eye on Soderberg because he's returning nice streaming value and can prove useful when deployed in the right situation.
Carl Soderberg posted three goals helping the Avalanche obtain a much needed road win against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He finished the game with three points, a plus-2 rating, five SOG and one hit in the match.
Fantasy Impact
Big Carl Soderberg rumbled his way into the Leafs zone with Jake Gardiner, out muscled him and buried his first of the game. His second was a well shot, top shelf one timer from J.T. Compher at the face off dot. His third was a hail mary from his own crease line which found the back of the empty net. The three goals bring him up to 15 on the year and 28 total. Soderberg hasn't eclipsed 16 goals in a season since being traded to the Avalanche so it's looking like a very good bet that he will get there this year.
Carl Soderberg scored and registered an assist in Tuesdays 7-4 loss against the Winnipeg Jets. He had two points, a plus-2 rating, four penalty minutes and three shots on goal through 14:45 minutes of ice time.
Fantasy Impact
The rumbling Carl Soderberg took a tip pass off the boards from in his own end and came through the neutral zone with speed. The Jets must of been shocked because he single-deked two players and did the same to Connor Hellebucyk. The goal got them within two but didn't matter as the Jets got ahead and stayed there all game. The effort brings him to 12 goals and 25 points on the season.
Carl Soderberg buried a goal and an assist Thursday night, contributing nicely to the 5-2 win over the Florida Panthers. He finished the game with two points, plus-1, two shots and two blocks.
Fantasy Impact
That brings Soderberg up to ten goals and 21 points on the season. This was a greasy one on the penalty kill as he flung a wrister at Roberto Luongo who took it off the chest, bounced over him and ended up in the net. A goal is a goal and the Avalanche will take it. Soderberg is providing his team with solid second line scoring this season as him, Alex Kerfoot and J.T. Compher are finding ways to be effective on the score sheet. Center is a deep position in fantasy hockey so you can probably find better players to roster full time but consider him a solid streaming option and can definitely be used in deeper leagues.
