Availability
Bryan Little was placed on IR this morning after a scary incident on Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils. Little took an errant puck to the side of the head which led to him leaving the game and getting 25-30 stitches. Little was also transported to a local hospital for neurological evaluation. It is expected that Little will be released from hospital today and will make a full recovery. At this time there is no timeline for his return to hockey related activities.
Fantasy Impact
Bryan Little has had his share of bad luck to open the 2019-20 season. He opened the season on the IR after taking a hit to the head in the final preseason game which saw him miss the opening 9 games. Little has since played 7 games but he will now miss at least a week of action, maybe more.
Bryan Little scored his first goal of the season in overtime of the Heritage Classic between the Winnipeg Jets and Calgary Flames on Saturday night. The goal came on a 2-on-1 with Kyle Connor feathering in a perfect cross crease pass over to Little who just had to tap it in.
Fantasy Impact
Bryan Little is back healthy for the Winnipeg Jets and has slotted right back into their top six. He may not be a viable every night fantasy option, but any player that plays a top-six role is worthy of consideration in some leagues.
Bryan Little was unable to play in the Winnipeg Jets season opening loss to the New York Rangers on Thursday night as he works his way through the NHL concussion protocol. Little took a hit to the head from Luke Kunin of the Minnesota Wild in the Jets final pre-season game. Little has not been placed on IR, so the sense is he will be able to return sooner rather than later.
Fantasy Impact
We will have to wait and see where Bryan Little will slot in when he returns from injury. If he finds himself between Kyle Connor and Patrik Laine on the Jets second line he will have some fantasy appeal in deeper leagues. However he might find himself on the wing alongside Adam Lowry on the Jets third line and play more of a checking role, which would reduce his fantasy appeal immensely.
Bryan Little dished out an assist on Patrik Laine's opening goal to put the Jets up 1-0 in the first period. The Blues would go on to win Game One by a count of 2-1 Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
Little only has three goals, seven assists, and a plus-two rating in 22 career playoff games played.
Bryan Little scored a goal in the Jets 5-4 loss to the Sharks on Tuesday. He was a plus one with one goal, two PIM and one SOG in 15:11 of ice time.
Fantasy Impact
When the Jets added Kevin Hayes that sapped all of the fantasy value out of Brian Little. It not only demoted him from the second line but he lost some ice-time on the power-play. He now has 15 goals and 26 assists thru 69 games. Since the addition of Kevin Hayes Little has produced only two points in seven games.
