Brandon Tanev will miss the remainder of the season as he suffered a torn ACL.

He sustained the injury on December 18th during a game against the Edmonton Oilers. The Kraken winger put up nine goals, six assists, a plus-4 rating, 51 shots, 98 hits and 22 blocks through 30 games in 2021.

The 29 year old forward is off to one of the better starts of his career with nine goals and six assists. Though it might be a great start for him, it has not been a dependable season for fantasy managers and they should look elsewhere for forward support.

Brandon Tanev had three points in the Kraken's 7-4 win over the Sabres on Monday. He was a plus four with one goals, two assist, one SHG, two SOG and four hits in 17:53 of ice-time.

It is strange to see Tanev up to eight goals on the season. He is still only at five assists on the year in 22 games. He is not worth an add but is racking p some goals in the early going of the season.

After a brief illness, the backline forward returned to action on March 5.

Tanev has not recorded a point since Feb. 16 and is of little value for fantasy.

Per Coach Sullivan, Tanev is "ill" and will not play versus Ottawa on Tuesday. No further information provided.
