Bryan Bickell clears waivers; stays with Blackhawks

After being placed on waivers by the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday, F Bryan Bickell wasn't claimed by any other NHL squad, so he'll remain with the Blackhawks. Bickell isn't expected to be reassigned to the Blackhawks' AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs, according to ESPN's source. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
"To be put on [waivers] and clear, it's kind of deflating, but I get some spark here and say I'm still here and looking forward to play tonight and prove myself. I want to be a Blackhawk forever and [it's a] second opportunity," he said. It appears Bickell will be getting just that as he will be active for Sunday's preseason finale. Chicago is stuck with him, so now they just need to figure out how they can use him effectively.
