Ilya Sorokin steady between the pipes in Thursday's win over Lightning
by Chris Schommer | Islanders Correspondent | Sat, Feb 10th 9:44am EST
Ilya Sorokin was steady between the pipes for the Islanders Thursday night, stopping 18 of 20 shots faced in a 6-2 win over the Lightning.
Fantasy Impact:
Sorokin continues to attempt to rebound from a rough stretch in the crease of late, allowing three or more goals in seven of his last 11 starts (4-6-1) for the Islanders. The dynamic netminder has yet to live up to the high draft pick fantasy managers spent in hopes of elite-level production in net, posting a 3.10 GAA and .910 save percentage in 37 appearances (16-12-9) so far this season.
