Semyon Varlamov was shelled in net for the Islanders Saturday night, allowing six goals on 27 shots faced in a 6-2 loss to the Bruins.

Varlamov has allowed less than three goals in three of his last five starts (2-2-1) in the crease for the Islanders, posting a .907 save percentage in that span. The veteran netminder has been a mostly solid complement behind No. 1 goaltender Ilya Sorokin for head coach Lane Lambert, posting a 2.82 GAA and .911 save percentage in 19 starts (10-7-2) between the pipes so far this season.
