Cole Smith records assist in season opener

Nashville Predators forward Cole Smith recorded an assist in Friday's season-opening win over the San Jose Sharks.
Fantasy Impact:
Smith's second-period helper was the first point of his NHL career and helped give the Predators a lead they would not relinquish. The 26-year-old skated in just his 10th NHL contest on Friday but posted a solid 21 goals and 41 points across 59 contests with the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals a season ago.
