Jack Hughes has been shut down for the remainder of the season following a low-grade left MCL sprain. He sustained the injury during a knee-on-knee collision with Oliver Wahlstrom of the New York Islanders. Wahlstrom did not receive any penalty for his actions. (Amanda Stein on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Jack Hughes has easily been the Devils best player this year and is their face of the franchise. He finishes his third season with 56 points in 49 games. Although he can be safely dropped to waivers in redraft leagues, he will be a valuable commodity next year and is primed for a breakout.
