Frederick Gaudreau scored the first of three goals Minnesota posted to defeat the visiting Chicago Blackhawks 3-1. He registered a goal, a plus-1 rating, two shots and three blocks.

Minnesota was breaking into Chicago's zone and he was coming up to the play late. Kevin Fiala noticed him and sent him a pass. He took a second and unleashed a wrister that labelled the top corner over Kevin Lankinen's glove for his 9th goal and 28th point of the year.
