WGN's Larry Hawley is reporting that Matt Forte will sign a one-day contract to retire with the Chicago Bears.
Fantasy Impact
Knowing that Forte's heart and soul of his career came while in Chicago, this comes as no surprise. An incredibly talented running back who racked up nearly 10,000 rushing yards and 5,000 receiving yards over his career, you have to wonder if Forte will one day enter the hall of fame. If availability factors into their decision, Forte played 146 of a possible 160 games during his NFL career, which is unheard of at the running back position. Fantasy footballers will miss his year-in, year-out reliability.
