Javonte Williams
RB - Denver Broncos
Availability
Since Week 11, Williams has played 45-56% of the snaps weekly while averaging 9.1 touches and 29.6 total yards. He has played terribly, with zero explosive runs, zero missed tackles, and only 1.78 yards after contact per attempt. The matchup is glorious this week, but Williams doesn't have the juice or the volume to capitalize on it. Since Week 10, Los Angeles has allowed the second-most rushing yards per game, the 11th-highest explosive run rate, and the third-most yards after contact per attempt.
Jaleel McLaughlin had 21 yards on 7 carries (3.0 YPC), and Javonte Williams rushed for 15 yards on six attempts (2.5 YPC). McLaughlin had the lone red zone attempt while catching 3 passes for 13 yards. In the first half, McLaughlin led the way with five carries to Williams' three.
McLaughlin started but he only played 24% of the snaps - less than half of what Williams played.
Audric Estime added 13 yards on 5 carries (2.6 YPC), while Marvin Mims had no rushing yards on 1 carry. Estime played 21% of the snaps.
More classic Broncos backfield usage. Unpredictable. Once we feel good about one guy, Sean Payton mixes it up. Good grief. Nobody can be trusted in what has become a three-headed disaster.
