Mettenberger has only seen limited action this preseason but will be heading to Pittsburgh to provide much-needed depth behind Ben Roethlisberger. He will likely be the team's No. 3 QB after backup Landry Jones, with the recently injured Bruce Gradkowski heading to IR.
