Ngakoue remains a free agent. He recorded four sacks with the Bears last season. “I just hope that I’m somewhere before training camp starts because everyone needs to go through a training camp in order to have the kind of season they want to have," Ngakoue said. "It’s just like a boxer at the end of the day. If you don’t have a proper training camp, you can go into the ring and get knocked out. So it’s all about preparation. The only thing that I’m worried about is being able to help an organization, help out the young guys and guys that are veterans as well to be able to get a Super Bowl ring and just bring great energy to that building wherever I’m at.”
Yannick Ngakoue (ankle) has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Ngakoue originally suffered what is now diagnosed as a broken ankle this past Sunday against the Lions. The veteran pass rusher finishes up his season with 22 combined tackles and four sacks across 13 games.
Yannick Ngakoue is working on his run defense in training camp and is working to prove that he is more than just a pass rusher.

Bears’ head coach Matt Eberflus stated that his has been good at stopping the run and they will make sure he continues to sharpen that part of his game. The veteran played in 15 games last season with the Colts, registering one forced fumble, 18 tackles, and 9.5 sacks.
