Will Hernandez
OG - Arizona Cardinals - IR
Week 11 Outlook
Availability
Will Hernandez suffered a season-ending knee injury in Sunday's win over the 49ers.
Fantasy Impact
The Cardinals offensive line will be short-handed in the absence of Hernandez. He is set to hit free agency this offseason.
The Arizona Cardinals have signed OL Will Hernandez to a contract. Hernandez was a second round pick of the Giants in 2018, but was a substandard player after a solid rookie year.
Fantasy Impact
Hernandez will be a good depth piece and swing guard for a Cardinals team that is looking for help on the offensive line. Hernandez is a solid run blocker but is extremely weak in pass protection. Kyler Murray will be running for his life if Hernandez is to start.
New York Giants LG Will Hernandez is being placed on the NFL's Reserve/COVID-19 list.
Fantasy Impact
New York has also quarantined all but four of their offensive linemen in a subsequent move. It's too early to tell what the availability of New York's OLINE will be for Monday night. We recently saw the Las Vegas Raiders go through a similar situation, and all but Trent Brown (who tested positive) were available for Sunday's game. We will continue to monitor this story as it develops and provide updates as needed.
With the second pick in the second round of the NFL draft, the New York Giants selected UTEP offensive guard Will Hernandez.
Fantasy Impact
The Giants desperately needed to upgrade their offensive line this season, and they already added offensive tackle Nate Solder and offensive guard Patrick Omameh in free agency. Hernandez has been described as a strong and aggressive interior lineman in the mold of Richie Incognito, and he adds yet another piece to the New York offensive line as they undergo a complete overhaul.
