Week 16 Outlook
Availability
The Detroit Lions have re-signed running back Wes Hills.
Fantasy Impact
Hills has now been cut and then re-signed by the Lions in less than a week. Detroit has been finding ways to add depth to their team and recent injuries have allowed them to re-sign Hills. Don't expect Hills to see any playing time as he is very low on the Lions' depth chart.
The Lions waived RB Wes Hills.
Fantasy Impact
Jonathan Willaims was signed as a corresponding move. Hills played in just one game for the Lions last year and actually wound up scoring two touchdowns.
Wes Hills carried 10 times for 21 yards and two TDs, adding two receptions for one yard in the Lions’ 38-17 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Signed to the active roster earlier in the week, Hills hit the end zone twice in his NFL debut. It was a nice game, though Kerryon Johnson and Bo Scarborough could both be back as early as next week, rendering Hills irrelevant if either play.
The Lions signed RB Wes Hills to their active roster.
Fantasy Impact
While Hills isn't fantasy-relevant, the move does indicate that fellow RB Bo Scarbrough may not be available against the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay is a tough matchup for RBs, and given the expected struggles of the Lions' offense no one in the backfield presents much fantasy value Sunday.
