Vontaze Burfict

Week 16 Outlook
Availability
Vontaze Burfict was suspended for the remainder of the 2019 season. He was tossed out of Sunday’s game against the Colts for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Jack Doyle.
Fantasy Impact
Burfict will probably appeal this verdict. In the meantime, fantasy owners and the Raiders might be looking at Marquel Lee or Kyle Wilber to replace Burfict in the middle of the field.
The Raiders are signing Vontaze Burfict to a one-year contract.
Fantasy Impact
The signing makes sense when you consider Oakland's defensive coordinator spent years with Burfict in Cincinnati. The 28-year-old linebacker plays an extremely violent brand of football, which has resulted in numerous injuries and suspension over the past few years. He should get plenty of run with the Raiders when healthy, however.
Dianna Russini of ESPN reports the Bengals have released linebacker Vontaze Burfict.
Fantasy Impact
The move will save the Bengals over $5 million against the cap. The 28-year-old linebacker should find a job with another team soon enough but has been hampered by injuries and suspensions in recent seasons. Burfict is known as being one of the dirtiest players in football so it’ll be interesting to see what his market is like.
Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict suffered his seventh career concussion (that we know of) in last Sunday’s loss to the Bengals. It was his second in a month, putting his career in jeopardy.
Fantasy Impact
Burfict is currently in the league’s concussion protocol and, while not yet officially ruled out, is unlikely to play in the season finale. He may have some tough decisions to make about his future in football this offseason.
Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict (concussion) has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Raiders.
Fantasy Impact
Burfict is still recovering from the concussion he sustained in Week 13. He will have another week to clear the NFL’s concussion protocol in hopes of a Week 16 return. Hardy Nickerson will see increased action in his absence.
