Ty'Son Williams
RB -
Week 12 Outlook
Availability
Ty'Son Williams has been released by the Cardinals.
Fantasy Impact
Williams will look for a new home after missing the cut to a 53-man roster. He had 10 carries for 51 yards in the preseason.
Arizona Cardinals RB Ty’Son Williams ran for a game-high 51 yards on 10 carries in Friday’s matchup with the Denver Broncos.
Fantasy Impact
Williams did not start the contest despite the fact that neither RB James Conner nor Keaontay Ingram played. However, Williams was the more efficient runner than veteran Corey Clement, the back who got the start. Williams appeared in one game for the Cardinals in 2022 and is pushing for a roster spot again this season.
The Indianapolis Colts cut Ty’Son Williams Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
Williams signed a contact with the Colts in May and was in competition for a spot in their RB room. By the Colts waiving him, they clear $825,000 from their cap. It is expected that if he clears waivers, he will join their practice squad.
The Indianapolis Colts have signed RB Ty'Son Williams, who was tendered by the Baltimore Ravens earlier this spring.
Fantasy Impact
The 25-year-old appeared in 13 games in his rookie year, having started three of them while tallying 185 rushing yards with one touchdown. Williams will join a crowded Colts backfield with Nyheim Hines, Phillip Lindsay, and Deon Jackson competing to be Jonathan Taylor's backup. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on this group as Williams has talent to offer and could be a worthwhile handcuff in dynasty/deep leagues.
The Ravens tendered exclusive rights free agent Ty'Son Williams Wednesday, according to Dov Kleiman. Details of the tender were not announced.
Fantasy Impact
Williams started the first three games of the season for the Ravens last season. In that span, he totaled two top-24 weekly finishes, including a top-10 performance in Week 1. He tailed off from there, though - ultimately totaling a lowly 35 carries for 185 yards and a touchdown in 13 games. He added nine receptions on 12 targets for 84 yards as well. Williams, however, is set to take a backseat to the likes of a returning J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards. Both are returning from injury. The second-year RB's path to fantasy football relevance next season is via an unfortunate injury to his backfield mates.
