The Cowboys released Tristan Vizcaino Monday.

Vizcaino struggled in practice, going 22 of 35 in the team’s first eight practices of training camp. Brandon Aubrey now has the inside track to earn the Cowboys’ kicking job for the start of the 2023 season.

As Phil Perry suggests, this is likely a move to use Vizcaino specifically for kickoffs after a Nick Folk kickoff was returned for a touchdown last week. Fantasy managers should still feel comfortable starting Folk.
