Trey Benson
RB - Arizona Cardinals - IR
Availability
The Cardinals placed Trey Benson on injured reserve.
Fantasy Impact
The season is over for Benson who backed up James Conner all year. He never saw a huge role throughout his rookie season.
Arizona Cardinals RB Trey Benson is labeled as questionable to play in Week 17 against the Los Angeles Rams with an ankle injury.
Fantasy Impact
Benson was out in Week 16 after failing to practice all week, but promisingly, he was limited all three days heading into Arizona's Saturday game. Benson could see some more action in Week 17 if he suits up as the Cards evaluate their rookie back, but with James Conner's recent form, they could also opt to stay with the veteran should he play (knee injury). Benson has played more than 16 offensive snaps just once all season. Michael Carter will serve as the RB2 if Benson is out (or RB1 if Conner is out as well).
Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon did not rule out Trey Benson for Saturday's game against the Rams.
Fantasy Impact
Benson and James Conner are both banged up. If they're both sidelined, Michael Carter would likely lead the backfield for the Cardinals.
Trey Benson has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
Fantasy Impact
Benson was unable to practice all week. James Conner will remain the workhorse in the Cardinals backfield.
Trey Benson missed practice on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
It is the second straight missed practice for Benson to open the week. His status will need to be monitored at practice on Friday.
