Trevon Wesco
TE - FA
This Week Outlook
Availability
Tennessee Titans rookie TE Trevon Wesco (shin) will not be active against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 16.
Fantasy Impact
Wesco is dealing with a shin injury that kept him out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday before a limited Friday session. However, he won't be able to go despite being questionable, his first missed game of the season. While Wesco plays a solid snap share, he is hardly involved in the passing game. QB, Will Levis, WR Kyle Philips, OL Daniel Brunskill, DL TK McClendon and DBs Sean Murphy-Bunting and K'Von Wallace will all be inactive.
Trevon Wesco caught 1-of-1 targets for 21 yards in the Titans' 23-16 loss to the Titans.
Fantasy Impact
Wesco saw his first target of the season in the loss to the Colts. Sunday. The Titans made use of all three of their tight ends, but fantasy managers can leave both Wesco and Josh Whyle on the waiver wire.
Trevon Wesco caught his lone target for 32 yards in the Jets' Week 16 win over the Steelers.
Fantasy Impact
Wesco has rarely been used as a receiver this season and has little to no fantasy football appeal in any format.
Former West Virginia TE Trevon Wesco was drafted by the New York Jets with the 121st pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact
Wesco was scooped up by the Jets in the fourth round, and the pick makes a lot of sense. He provides quality blocking, which will be very important with Sam Darnold and Le’Veon Bell leading the offense. He also possesses solid receiving skills and great after-the-catch abilities for such a big-bodied player. The Jets’ stable of TEs are among the weakest in the NFL, and Wesco should push for a fair amount of snaps right out of the gate.
