Week 13 Outlook

Chad Graff of The Athletic projects that wide receiver Tre Nixon won't make the Patriots' 53-man roster.
Fantasy Impact
Graff expects the Patriots to carry five healthy receivers plus injured rookie Tyquan Thornton, and Nixon didn't make the cut. The 24-year-old has made an impact on offense and special teams this summer, but there are only so many roster spots to go around and the Patriots have to make some tough decisions at the deep wide receiver position. Final cuts will be made official on Tuesday afternoon.
Tre Nixon turned four targets into two catches for 32 yards against the Raiders on Friday evening.
Fantasy Impact
Nixon is competing for a spot on the back of the roster. Although the Patriots have a deep receiver room, Nixon has impressed during training camp and the preseason and has a very real chance of surviving final cuts.
Patriots wide receiver Tre Nixon hauled in six of eight targets for 56 yards against the Panthers on Friday evening. The second-year receiver saw all of his reps while playing alongside Bailey Zappe at the end of the second quarter and throughout the entire second half.
Fantasy Impact
Nixon has totaled 137 yards through two preseason games, continuing to help his case as he competes for a roster spot. Even if he does make the team, he won't have any fantasy relevance unless multiple players atop the depth chart suffer injuries.
Patriots second-year wide receiver Tre Nixon turned eight targets into four catches and 81 yards against the Giants on Thursday evening. New England ultimately lost to New York on a field goal as time expired. The final score was 23-21.
Fantasy Impact
Nixon finished second on the Patriots in receiving yards during the preseason opener. He impressed on the practice squad last year and looked good in recent training camp sessions, so Thursday's solid performance only added to his case for a roster spot. It will be interesting to see if he does ultimately win a job in this deep receiver room.
New England Patriots wide receiver Tre Nixon is making an early push for a roster spot as practices continue into the summer, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN.
Fantasy Impact
Nixon, a 2021 seventh-round pick, reportedly caught two beautiful deep balls from Mac Jones during practice. He spent all of last season on the practice squad but has impressed the coaches enough to stay on the payroll, and it looks like he could earn a promotion to the 53-man roster in 2022.
