Boyle played in two games for the Jets before he was released. He'll add some depth to the Texans quarterback room with C.J. Stroud (concussion) expected to miss a second straight game.

The New York Jets have released veteran QB Tim Boyle following his Week 13 start in the team's loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Boyle started the last two games for New York after the team decided to bench former No. 2 pick Zach Wilson. Despite their desire for change, Boyle didn't provide any spark, completing 62.3% of his passes for one touchdown, four interceptions and just 4.7 yards per attempt in his three appearances as a Jet. In his place, the Jets have signed QB Brett Rypien.

Tim Boyle completed 14 of his 25 passes for 148 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception in the Jets' 13-8 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy Impact

After three quarters of poor quarterback play, Tim Boyle was benched for Trevor Siemian in the fourth quarter. There is no guarantee that Boyle will play at all next week. Even if he does, he should not be under fantasy consideration.

Tim Boyle completed 27-of-38 passes for 179 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions in the Jets 34-13 loss against the Dolphins.

Fantasy Impact

Making his first start this season and just his fourth career start, Boyle threw a pair of interceptions including a pick-six at the end of the first half. He was able to find Garrett Wilson in the end zone late in the game. Robert Saleh announced that Boyle will be undercenter again next week when the Jets take on the Falcons, making Breece Hall and Wilson risky starts again for fantasy managers.

Tim Boyle will start for the Jets on Friday against the Dolphins.

Boyle entered the game on Sunday for Zach Wilson, who is officially benched for now. He will be making his fourth career start against Miami. It will be tough to trust all Jets offensive weapons from a fantasy football perspective with Boyle undercenter.
