Taywan Taylor
WR -
Week 16 Outlook
Availability
New acquisition Taywan Taylor is inactive for the Browns week 1 meeting with his former team, the Tennessee Titans.
Fantasy Impact
Taywan could eventually earn a role in Cleveland, but due to recently joining the team he was likely to be a bit player in Week 1 even if he was active. He has an interesting skill set and could emerge with some fantasy value as the season wears on. If an injury strikes he will be a name to target immediately in deeper leagues.
Taywan Taylor was traded to the Browns on Saturday, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com reports.
Fantasy Impact
Taylor a former third round pick in 2017 had fallen on the depth chart on the Titans behind Corey Davis, Adam Humphries A. J. Brown and Tajae Sharpe. It looks like he may end up fourth or fifth in the pecking order at receiver for the Browns and will not see enough targets to be fantasy relevant.
Taywan Taylor hauled in both of his targets for 14 total yards in the team's third preseason contest Sunday against the Steelers.
Fantasy Impact
Taylor is currently fourth on the depth chart at wide receiver for the Titans and has not done anything in the preseason to move himself up. Taylor is not worth drafting in fantasy.
Taywan Taylor caught two passes on five targets for 27 yards as the Titans lost to the Patriots in their second preseason game on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact
Taylor has yet to have the breakout the Titans were expecting when they drafted him in the third round in 2017. Taylor will need to step up for the rest of the preseason or he could fall down the depth chart with A.J. Brown and Tajae Sharpe lurking.
Taywan Taylor hauled in two of his six targets for eight yards in Sunday's 33-17 loss to the Colts.
Fantasy Impact
Taylor showed some flashes at receiver in his second season in the NFL. Taylor battled injuries but if he can stay healthy and the Titans open up their offense in 2019 then Taylor could be worth owning in most fantasy leagues.
