RB - FA
This Week Outlook
Availability
The Jacksonville Jaguars re-signed RB Snoop Conner to their practice squad.
Fantasy Impact
The former fifth-round pick reportedly had offers from other teams, but elected to rejoin the Jaguars. Conner provides the Jaguars with another depth option should anything happen to Travis Etienne, Tank Bigsby, JaMycal Hasty, or D’Ernest Johnson.
Snoop Conner tallied 17 rushing yards and a touchdown on five carries in a 31-3 win over Houston.
Fantasy Impact
Conner scored on a three yard rush in the third quarter in a route of Houston. Conner does not hold any fantasy value right now. The Jaguars will take on the Titans in Week 18.
Snoop Conner tallied 11 yards on three rushing attempts in a 28-27 win over Baltimore.
Fantasy Impact
Conner came in to spell Jamycal Hasty after Travis Etienne left with a foot injury. This was the first game on the active roster for Conner, who could be inactive once Darrell Henderson becomes familiar with the playbook. Fantasy managers should leave Conner on waivers.
Snoop Conner rushed for 15 yards on 11 carries and caught 2-of-3 targets for minus-three yards in Jacksonville’s 28-12 preseason loss in Atlanta on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact
Conner couldn’t get anything going Saturday, amassing just 12 yards on 13 touches. He has not done anything this preseason to challenge Travis Etienne Jr. or James Robinson (Achilles) for touches in the regular season. Jacksonville plans to keep Conner on the roster but his only road to playing time is special teams or injuries. That being said, the aforementioned backs are both coming off major injuries but even Robinson is “so close” to being ready for Week 1 so there is no room for Conner, fantasy-wise, to start the season.
Snoop Conner rushed for 19 yards on seven carries but was not targeted in the passing game in Jacksonville’s 16-15 loss to Pittsburgh on Saturday night.
Fantasy Impact
The rookie out of Ole Miss will begin the season as Travis Etienne Jr.’s primary backup after the Jags traded up into the 5th round to select him in this year’s draft. Conner will have the beginning of the season to prove why he should remain in the rotation once James Robinson (Achilles) returns, but, for now, Robinson's timetable remains up in the air. Conner, a 5’10”, 222-pound bruiser, will also be used in short yardage and goal line situations giving him great fantasy value even behind Etienne and worthy of a late-round pick on draft day. Fantasy managers who take Etienne would be wise, especially given the fact Etienne missed all of last season, to try and draft Conner as a handcuff.
