Sheldon Rankins agreed to a two-year deal worth up to $17 million with the Jets Sunday, according to Mike Garafolo.

Rankins joins fellow defensive lineman Carl Lawson, Lamarcus Joyner, Justin Hardee, Marcus Maye, and Jarrad Davis as defensive additions for the Jets. Rankins appeared in 12 games for the Saints last season - totaling 13 tackles, nine QB hits, 1.5 sacks, and three tackles for loss. He graded out as Pro Football Focus' 65th-best interior defensive lineman.
