Sean Richardson

Week 17 Outlook
Availability
The Packers have matched the Raiders' RFA tender on Sean Richardson. He will return to Green Bay on a one-year, $2.5m dollar deal.
Fantasy Impact
Richardson's return shores up the Packers special teams. He shouldn't see that much playing time on defense, as Haha Clinton-Dix, Morgan Burnett, and Micah Hyde all seem to be in front of him at this point. The Packers obviously like something in Richardson. They stuck with him through a scary neck injury and have now made the reserve player the 14th highest-paid Packer.
The Oakland Raiders signed restricted free agent Sean Richardson to an offer sheet worth $2.55 million for the 2015 season. The Packers have until Monday to match the offer. Green Bay would not receive compensation for losing the backup safety.
Fantasy Impact
Minimal, but losing Richardson could weaken the depth of the Packers secondary and an already weak special teams unit. Should he depart, expect Micah Hyde to serve as the primary backup at safety and for the Packers to add another body at that position in the draft. The Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie served as an understudy to Ted Thompson in Green Bay, so he is familiar with the abilities of Richardson. While $2.55 million may seem a heavy price for Thompson to pay for a backup, one has to think the Packers may be more willing to re-sign him now that they know they would not receive the coveted compensatory draft pick.
