Salvon Ahmed
RB - Indianapolis Colts
Availability
The Indianapolis Colts signed RB Salvon Ahmed to their practice squad on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
The four-year Dolphin now gets a fresh start on a new team in a banged up running back room. With Jonathan Taylor and Trey Sermon both dealing with injuries, there is a possibility that Ahmed gets elevated to the active roster as soon as this week.
The Denver Broncos have signed former Dolphins RB Salvon Ahmed to their practice squad.
Fantasy Impact
Ahmed went undrafted in 2020 and spent four years with Miami. He served mostly as a rotational RB, starting only four career games, all of which came during his rookie season. Now the Broncos bring him in to their practice squad as a potential depth piece.
The Miami Dolphins released RB Salvon Ahmed.
Fantasy Impact
Ahmed made the Dolphins as an UDFA back in 2020. He has held a depth role in the backfield for Miami the past few seasons. He'll look to land another role with a different team in training camp.
The Dolphins placed Salvon Ahmed on the non-football injury list.
Fantasy Impact
Ahmed re-signed with Miami back in March. He'll look to return to the field later in camp.
The Miami Dolphins plan to bring back RB Salvon Ahmed on a one-year deal for a fifth season with the team.
Fantasy Impact
Since Ahmed's rookie season when he started four games, appeared in six and posted 380 scrimmage yards with a trio of touchdowns for a 10-win Dolphins team, he has not eclipsed an offensive snap share of more than 26% in a season. Each year, though, his special teams snaps have increased, playing a third of the team's snaps in his eight games last season. With RB Jeff Wilson Jr. a potential cap cut candidate, Ahmed could find himself as the RB3/4 in a backfield with RBs De'Von Achane, Raheem Mostert and Chris Brooks, serving as a depth piece and special teamer.
