Russell Gage has been released by the Baltimore Ravens.

Gage has been dealing with injuries this offseason and hasn't seen the field as much as the team hoped he would, so Baltimore is releasing him ahead of the roster-cut deadline. He may end up on another roster for the regular season, but it remains to be seen if that will be the case or not.

Gage is sidelined at practice for some undisclosed reason. He is currently on the fringe of the roster, so if he misses substantial time moving forward, that could lead to him being cut from the team. If that happens, the path for rookie WR Devontez Walker to produce would become much more clear.
