Week 12 Outlook
Availability
Atlanta Falcons WR Rondale Moore suffered a season-ending knee injury during practice Wednesday. He was carted off the field after a non-contact injury to his right leg.
Fantasy Impact
Terrible news for Moore and the Falcons. The fourth-year receiver was acquired by the team in a trade from the Cardinals over the offseason in exchange for QB Desmond Ridder. He has been placed on the reserve/injured list and will sit out his entire 2024 campaign.
Falcons WR Rondale Moore was carted off the field Wednesday with an air case on his right leg.
Fantasy Impact
The injury has been reported as a non contact injury, so it appears to be a major injury for Moore. He is headed to a medical facility and the Falcons should provide more information on the severity of his injury soon.
Atlanta Falcons WR Rondale Moore has been running with the second unit during camp, "firmly" playing behind WR Ray-Ray McCloud III in the team's pecking order.
Fantasy Impact
Moore was a trade acquisition from the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for QB Desmond Ridder. Despite playing more snaps (45%, 82% and 67%, respectively) in his latter seasons in the desert, Moore saw his efficiency drop by Year 3 (yards/target: 6.8, 7.4 and 5.7, respectively). He is looking to reestablish himself in Atlanta, but given his size (5-foot-7, 180 pounds), it may be hard — or just take time — for him to ever find a consistent role in the NFL as a receiver.
The Atlanta Falcons are acquiring WR Rondale Moore from the Arizona Cardinals in a player-for-player trade involving QB Demond Ridder.
Fantasy Impact
Moore never had the breakout fans hoped for, with his yards per route run dropping every season (1.65, 1.47 and 0.73, respectively). Despite his drop in efficiency, Moore still has a potential niche to fill in the NFL as an underneath, speedy YAC threat or as a pseudo-satellite back. If Atlanta can get creative with Moore's usage, he could provide further versatility to the offense.
Rondale Moore caught 3-of-4 targets for 26 yards in the Cardinals’ 35-31 win over the Eagles.
Fantasy Impact
Moore also added eight rushing yards on two carries in the win. The 23-year-old logged more than three targets for the first time since Week 10. Fantasy managers should look for a more consistent option if they are playing in Week 18.
