Roman Harper
S - FA
2024 Outlook
Availability
The New Orleans Saints and S Roman Harper agreed to terms on a deal that has not yet been disclosed. Harper played with New Orleans from 2006-2013 before leaving for a two-year stint with the division rival Carolina Panthers.
Fantasy Impact
The New Orleans Saints brought back on of the staples of their defense for eight years, Roman Harper. Harper played for the Panther for the past two seasons before rejoining the Saints on Tuesday. New Orleans' defensive unit was atrocious in 2015 finishing next to last in total defense. Signing Harper adds a veteran presence to the field as well as the locker room, something that the Saints lacked since he departed in 2014. New Orleans D/ST should be avoided in all fantasy formats for the upcoming 2016 campaign until their production proves otherwise.
Roman Harper has six tackles in the loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon.
Fantasy Impact
Roman Harper wasn't able to lead the team to win. He had an average season for a safety, and it should be interesting to see if he's brought back in 2016. For those playing in Week 17, Harper will not be a major factor in IDP leagues.
Roman Harper recorded six tackles in Sunday's victory over the Giants.
Fantasy Impact
It was a chippy game. Harper's work in the secondary helped sealed the victory for the Panthers, but probably not your fantasy playoff game.
Roman Harper had four solo tackles in Sunday's win over the Tennessee Titans.
Fantasy Impact
Harper has only had one game this season with more than four tackles. He remains a major reason the Panthers are undefeated, but does not help out a team in an IDP league.
Roman Harper had six tackles, and a pass defended in Sunday's win over the Packers.
Fantasy Impact
One of his tackles was for a loss, and his hard hits resonated with the Packer receivers. Next week, the Panthers play the Titans.
