Rolando McClain
LB -
Week 17 Outlook
Availability
The Cowboys have cut Rolando McClain after he was conditionally reinstated just last week. McClain hasn't played since the 2015 season, yet the Cowboys held onto his rights until now.
Fantasy Impact
McClain hasn't been on the fantasy radar for quite awhile.
ESPN is reporting former Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain was arrested in Alabama Friday on weapons and marijuana charges.
Fantasy Impact
McClain's latest arrest could be the dagger in an NFL career that had already been in colossal doubt. The troubled 27-year-old linebacker has a laundry list of off the field incidents resulting in suspensions by the league. His last occurred in December of 2016 when he violated the league's substance abuse policy and was suspended indefinitely. I wouldn't expect to see McClain on an NFL field ever again.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Dallas Cowboys LB Rolando McClain has been suspended for another year for missing a mandatory drug test.
Fantasy Impact
McClain, who was supposed to be reinstated from his 10-game suspension from earlier in the season on Monday, missed a drug test and was suspended for another year by the league. His career in the NFL moving forward is severely in doubt.
Dallas Cowboys LB Rolando McClain was suspended by the NFL for the first 10 games of the 2016 regular season for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.
Fantasy Impact
The Cowboys took another hit to their defensive unit on Thursday as Rolando McClain was suspended for the first 10 games of the 2016 season. Dallas is already down Randy Gregory and DeMarcus Lawrence, who are both serving four-game bans of their own. The Cowboys D/ST is serviceable at best for fantasy football purposes due to their inability to rush the passer and create turnovers.
The Dallas Cowboys re-sign LB Rolando McClain to a one-year, $5 million deal according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Fantasy Impact
Rolando McClain is one of the only playmakers on the Cowboys defense. Along side of a healthy Sean Lee and potential new additions to the team this offseason, Dallas' defense could be a sleeper fantasy D/ST in 2016.
