Packers LB Rashan Gary (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup with the Chargers.
Fantasy Impact
Gary was added to the injury report after suffering a shoulder injury in practice. The injury does not sound serious, but is something to monitor ahead of Sunday.
The Packers and LB Rashan Gary have agreed to a four-year, $96 million extension.
Fantasy Impact
Gary’s total contact will equal to over $107 million overall with a signing bonus of over $34 million. He has recovered well from a torn ACL that ended his 2022 season and is playing well this season, tallying 4 1/2 sacks through seven games.
According to Ryan Wood of USA Today, edge rusher Rashan Gary was on a snap count in Week 1 as the Green Bay Packers take the long road in his ACL recovery.
Fantasy Impact
The Packers showed dominance defensively against the Chicago Bears, getting pressure constantly even if Gary was limited. Despite his snap count, he still mustered seven pressures of his own. The Packers have long-term goals, and Gary should see more work as the season goes, but the Packers defensive line could prove to be one of the better units in the NFL.
The Packers activated Rashan Gary from the PUP list Monday.
Fantasy Impact
Head coach Matt LaFleur stated that Gary will not take any team reps, but will do individual drills. Gary landed on the PUP list at the start of training camp as he continued to recover from his torn ACL he suffered last November. This is a massive return for the Packers’ DST which currently ranks 18th in ECR, according to FantasyPros.
