Meinerz has started 39 games since Denver selected him out Wisconsin–Whitewater in the third round of the 2021 Draft. The extension includes $45 million guaranteed and ties him to the team through the 2028 season.

Fantasy Impact
Meinerz played at an FCS school in Wisconsin but absolutely wrecked opponents in the trenches. His tape shows incredible leverage and burst off the line of scrimmage, generating power from his 320-pound core to blow defenders backward and often into the dirt. The lack of experience against elite collegiate competition is certainly cause for concern but Meinerz could be slotted into Denver's starting offensive line unit by September. Denver is clearly looking to protect recently acquired QB Teddy Bridgewater in the upcoming season, as he suffered a gruesome leg injury a few years ago and needs all of the protection he can get in the Mile High city.
