Week 17 Outlook
Availability
The New York Giants are signing former first-round pick CB Prince Amukamara to a one-day contract to retire as a Giant.
Fantasy Impact
Amukamara has not played in the NFL since 2019 when he was in his third season with the Chicago Bears. Between the Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars and the Bears, Amukamara played nine seasons, starting 100 games, catching 10 interceptions, defending 78 passes and winning Super Bowl XLVI with New York. He will retire at 34 with the team that drafted him 19th overall in 2011.
The Cardinals signed CB Prince Amukamara to their practice squad.
Fantasy Impact
It was reported last week that Amukamara was expected to sign with Arizona and now it's official. He'll likely be added to the active roster once he gets some practice time under his belt.
Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports the Cardinals are bringing in CB Prince Amukamara for a visit with the intention of signing him.
Fantasy Impact
It's a tad surprising that nobody had signed him yet. Arizona doesn't have much depth at the cornerback position, which likely triggered this decision by the Cardinals.
CB Prince Amukamara has been released by the Las Vegas Raiders, just three months after he signed with them as a free agent.
Fantasy Impact
A video surfaced recently of Amukamara getting burned by Hunter Renfrow on a comeback route. Not saying this is the only reason the Raiders let him go, but it’s quite possible the veteran corner has lost a step. He is adamant about still wanting to play, and will hope to join another team prior to the regular season kicking off in less than two weeks.
Former Giants and Bears CB Prince Amukamara has officially agreed to terms with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Fantasy Impact
It was announced last week that Amukamara would sign with the Raiders, and that signing became official on Monday. To make room for the veteran corner, Las Vegas waived CB Nick Nelson. Amukamara joins a relatively young secondary and will likely find himself playing on the outside for the Raiders. The former first-rounder will provide veteran leadership for the younger guys around him.
