Week 12 Outlook
Availability
Former New York Giants WR Preston Parker was arrested on Monday night on a marijuana possession and resisting arrest charge according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Fantasy Impact
Preston Parker remains unsigned this offseason as he picks up a possession charge on Monday night. Parker is likely to receive disciplinary action from the NFL and will affect him getting signed anytime soon, if ever.
Parker had dropped five passes in the team's first two games -- including huge drops in key moments late in the Week 1 and 2 games. No surprise that Tom Coughlin had seen enough. Sadly, prior to Week 1, the Giants released James Jones, who has been great for the Packers, in lieu of Parker.
Fantasy Impact
While some speculate this news may mean Victor Cruz is getting closer to his return, it is likely solely a result of Parker's poor play. Parker holds no fantasy value.
Preston Parker caught three of his six targets for 17 yards in Sunday's loss to the Falcons.
Fantasy Impact
Parker again played more of a role in the offense than the team's listed WR2, Rueben Randle. While he's not extremely fantasy relevant, he's worth monitoring as the season goes. The Giants' offense should do enough to support two fantasy-relevant WRs, and Randle has yet to step up. We'll see how Parker is impacted when Victor Cruz returns from injury.
Preston Parker had three critical drops in the Giants season opening loss against Dallas. Parker finished the game with two catches for 26 yards.
Fantasy Impact
Parker, who filled in for Victor Cruz, struggled mightily as the Giants third receiver. Parker's playing time is likely to diminish due to his poor performance.
Giants receiver Preston Parker has been ejected from his team's game in St. Louis after throwing a punch. Odell Beckham Jr. and a Rams defender started the melee. He caught three passes for 32 yards on three targets before his ejection.
Fantasy Impact
Parker could face league discipline too. Tough break if you started him in daily leagues, he was on his way to a decent PPR game. This should only help Beckham, Randle, and Donnell for the remainder of the Giants' Week 16 contest.
