Perrish Cox
CB -
Week 9 Outlook
Availability
Perrish Cox recorded five solo tackles and a game-clinching interception to lock up the Titans 16-15 win over the Detriot Lions.
Fantasy Impact
Overall the Titans D/ST is one to avoid unless your desperate and the matchup is favorable. It is nice to see the Titans defense stepping up to close out a game but overall, never consider them a waiver option unless they can improve on pressuring the quarterback.
CB Perrish Cox scored the first touchdown of the game on an interception from Rams QB Nick Foles. He was covering WR Kenny Britt on the play.
Fantasy Impact
Perrish Cox made this pick six look easy as Kenny Britt ran a lazy route and Nick Foles put it right on his numbers. Cox was one of the Titans more noteworthy free agent additions this offseason. He should assume the starting CB spot across from Jason McCourty. Cox may be a player to target as a match up based streaming DB for IDP formats.
Unrestricted free agent cornerback Perrish Cox is scheduled to visit the Washington Redskins on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
Cox is a talented corner who is coming off a career year, finishing with five interceptions, 17 pass deflections, and 53 tackles. The 2010 fifth-round pick and Oklahoma State product was drafted by the Broncos, spent time with the Seahawks, and is now leaving the 49ers. He went to San Fran in 2012, where he played all 16 games that season. If Cox is signed by Washington, he would likely play the nickel behind starters DeAngelo Hall and David Amerson. He would have to compete against Bashaud Breeland and Tracy Porter for that nickel spot.
Chris Borland had only five tackles, with no passes defended and no interceptions Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Earlier this season, Cox was playing at an All-Pro level. Over the last couple of months, however, he has been exposed. He has trouble in coverage and was repeatedly left straggling at the end of WR routes. He is fantasy irrelevant.
