Penei Sewell
OT - Detroit Lions
Week 11 Outlook
Availability
Penei Sewell (ankle) is officially active for Week 2 for the Detroit Lions against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Fantasy Impact
Sewell carried a questionable designation entering the Week 2 contest, but was able to clear through pre-game warmups and will continue to fortify a stout Detroit offensive line hoping to open plenty of holes for a strong rushing attack while also keeping Jared Goff upright against the Buccaneers Sunday.
Penei Sewell (ankle) is officially questionable for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Fantasy Impact
Sewell missed a lot of practice this week because of an ankle injury, and he may not be able to play in Week 2. He's considered questionable to play right now, and it remains to be seen if the team will take the cautious approach and let him sit out. If that's the case, that's not good news for David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs, who benefit a lot from the holes he opens up in the running game.
Lions coach Dan Campbell said they'll try to get Penei Sewell out at practice on Friday.
Fantasy Impact
Sewell has yet to practice this week due to an ankle injury. He would be a big loss on the offensive line if he is sidelined against Tampa Bay.
Penei Sewell (ankle) was a non-participant at Detroit's practice on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Sewell hasn't practiced at all this week thanks to an ankle injury. The exact severity of it is unclear, but it looks like he's trending towards having an injury designation heading into the weekend. If he's unable to play, that's less than ideal for all of Detroit's skill position players, who greatly benefit from the dominance of their offensive line.
Penei Sewell (ankle) did not practice with the Lions on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
Sewell is dealing with an ankle injury of some kind that left him limited at practice on Wednesday. If he's out or playing at less than 100% health in Week 2, that could slightly hurt the fantasy value of Jared Goff and David Montgomery.
