Paul Perkins

Week 16 Outlook
Availability
RB Paul Perkins worked out with the 49ers on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
San Francisco running backs Raheem Mostert (knee) and Tevin Coleman (knee) are expected to be sidelined for an extended period of time. The 49ers brought in Paul Perkins, Karan Higdon and Austin Walter for a workout. Perkins played for the Giants and Lions the past three seasons. The 25-year-old logged 12 carries for 29 yards and hauled in one reception for nine yards over four games for Detroit in 2019. Perkins is merely a depth move and not on the fantasy radar in all league formats.
Paul Perkins rushed seven times for nine yards and caught one pass for nine yards in the Lions’ 20-13 loss to the Bears on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Perkins saw his most touches of the season after Ty Johnson left the game early with a concussion. He'll likely play second-fiddle to J.D. McKissic if Johnson is forced to miss Week 11, though Perkins and McKissic could be employed in an RBBC, making Perkins a deep-league flier in a week with four teams on bye.
Paul Perkins rushed three times for four yards in the Lions’ 31-26 win over the Giants on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
The recently-signed Perkins got only three touches as part of a strange RBBC in the Lions’ backfield. He doesn’t need to be rostered outside of very deep leagues.
The Lions claimed Paul Perkins from the Giants on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
Perkins spent the entire 2018 season on the injured reserve, and he wasn’t going to get called upon by the Giants with Saquon Barkley in the fold. The Giants cut Perkins. He last played in 2017 averaging 2.2 YPC. Perkins was added by the Lions for depth purposes and will be one of the main backup running backs behind starter Kerryon Johnson.
Giants running back Paul Perkins rushed 11 times for 54 yards and caught two passes for negative yardage in Thursday's preseason finale against the Patriots.
Fantasy Impact
Perkins is on the roster bubble in New York but closed out the preseason with a strong performance on Thursday. He could be the favorite for the number three running back spot in New York, but it's also possible that Rod Smith or Jonathan Hilliman end up with the job.
