Week 16 Outlook

Nick Toon was cut by the Saints on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
Brandon Coleman's role continues to be defined as the starting WR opposite Brandin Cooks. Toon entered OTAs as the favorite for that role but was unable to impress in camp and ultimately lost his roster spot.
New Orleans Saints WR Nick Toon will miss a few weeks after suffering a high-ankle sprain, according to the team.
Fantasy Impact
Prior to the injury, Toon was said to be sliding down the team's depth chart. Injuries are unfortunately nothing new for the WR, and at this point he holds little to no fantasy relevance.
By all accounts he has been passed by Brandon Coleman, but reporter Underhill believes that Josh Morgan and Joe Morgan have also passed him on the depth chart.
Fantasy Impact
Kind of surprising but drafters take note of this developing situation. If this is the case, he may not make the final roster cut. At this point, he is not worthy of even a late round flier.
Toon is entering his 4th season with the New Orleans Saints and could be in position to earn valuable playing time. However, Toon will be a free agent after this season and he's being pushed by Brandon Coleman for the 3rd receiver spot.
Fantasy Impact
Toon is no longer a developmental project and it's time for the 4th rounder to start producing. Coleman has been turning heads at training camp and is the early favorite to be the 3rd WR behind Cooks and Colston. Temper expectations on Toon until after a couple of preseason games to get a better understanding of his role.
Toon will be in the Z role, which will put him on the field when all three-wide sets are used, along with Brandin Cooks and Marques Colston.
Fantasy Impact
With this increased exposure, he is set to have a decent year, just remember he is the third receiver and there may be other more viable options in your league. A year in which he gains 600 yards along with six TDs seems likely.
