Melvin Gordon III
RB -
Week 16 Outlook
Availability
Melvin Gordon III rushed the ball six times for ten yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 56-19 blowout win over the Miami Dolphins.
Fantasy Impact
Gordon has played a very minimal role with the Ravens so far this year, but he was actually able to have a solid impact on Sunday's game. He was tied for the second-most rushing attempts on the team and was able to get in the end zone to help contribute to Baltimore's impressive blowout win. He's entirely off the fantasy radar at this point in his career but could find himself on a roster or practice squad somewhere again next season.
The Ravens signed RB Melvin Gordon from their practice squad to their active roster Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
Gordon’s addition to the active roster was made official as the team put rookie RB Keaton Mitchell on injured reserve. Fantasy managers can leave Gordon off their radar for now as he will slot in as the No. 3 option at running back.
Ravens' coach John Harbaugh said RB Melvin Gordon will be added to the Ravens’ active roster from the practice squad.
Fantasy Impact
This news comes after Harbaugh confirmed Keaton Mitchell suffered a season-ending injury in Sunday night's win over the Jaguars. Gordon will be in a depth role behind Gus Edwards and Justice Hill. He remains off the fantasy radar.
Melvin Gordon III rushed the ball 3 times for 21 yards and caught one pass for 23 yards in Sunday's win over the Cleveland Browns.
Fantasy Impact
Gordon wasn't very involved on Sunday, getting just four touches on the course of the day. He did alright with what he was given, but nothing that's going to earn him more opportunities moving forward. He's still the RB3 on this offense and isn't fantasy relevant for the foreseeable future.
Melvin Gordon III is expected to be called up from the Ravens' practice squad for their matchup against the Browns on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Gordon totaled 55 yards on 12 touches against the Colts last week, and it looks like he'll be called up again. Gus Edwards and Justice Hill are both expected to play but have been dealing with injuries this week, so having another depth piece on the roster is critical. More than likely it's a timeshare between Edwards and Hill, but Gordon could come in for a few touches. He'll running room hard to come by against a ferocious Cleveland defense and is best left on waivers.
