Mario Addison
DE -
Week 17 Outlook
Availability
Mario Addison has agreed to a three-year deal with the Bills.
Fantasy Impact
Addison is getting up there in age, but he remained productive in his time in Carolina. He had 9.5 sacks last year, his fourth straight season with at least nine, and played at least 14 games for the seventh straight season. He'll make a fine fill-in for the departed Shaq Lawson.
Mario Addison ended Sunday’s loss to Washington with seven total tackles (four solo) and 1.5 sacks.
Fantasy Impact
Addison has 27 tackles, 9.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles through Week 13. Since he leads all Panthers in the sack stat line, he should be started in deeper IDP leagues.
Mario Addison ended Sunday’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons with three solo tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble.
Fantasy Impact
Addison leads all Panthers in sacks with eight through Week 12. Additionally, he has two forced fumbles and 19 total tackles during that same period. He is worth starting in leagues that require the DE position. Addison will have a great shot to get his next sack Week 13 as the Panthers take on the Washington Redskins.
Mario Addison finished Sunday’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars with two total tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble.
Fantasy Impact
Addison’s sack on Gardner Minshew was his team-leading 6.5 sack this season. He should be added in leagues in which sacks are counted or have special scoring. He could be started weekly in deeper leagues, but please note that the Panthers have a Bye week coming up in Week 7.
Before leaving the contest for good in the fourth quarter, Carolina defensive end Mario Addison (back) was reportedly in and out of the contest versus Philadephia after suffering an apparent back injury. He did manage to record two solo tackles and a sack and was credited for two tackles for a loss as well.
Fantasy Impact
In a contest that seen fellow defensive lineman Kawann Short and Kyle Love recording four solo tackles apiece, it was a disappointing development, to say the least for Addison IDP owners. The back injury will be something to monitor this coming week as Carolina takes on Baltimore in Week Eight at home.
