Week 13 Outlook
Availability
Bills beat writer Joe Buscaglia is reporting the team has released RB Marcus Murphy.
Fantasy Impact
The Bills had a handful of capable backs, but they all couldn't make the team. Murphy and LeSean McCoy were the odd men out. Murphy will look to land with another club sooner rather than later. He plays special teams, which he has going for him in finding a new suitor.
Marcus Murphy rushed eight times for 27 yards and caught two of his three targets for 10 yards and a touchdown in the Bills' preseason win over the Vikings.
Fantasy Impact
Murphy could be on his way out when roster cuts hit soon, and even if he lands somewhere else, Murphy is not the type of player that will offer much fantasy appeal. He's not really a name to know outside of preseason.
Marcus Murphy rushed six times for 21 yards in the Bills' preseason win over the Panthers.
Fantasy Impact
Murphy is buried on the depth chart and is likely fighting for a roster spot. Even if he's on the final roster, he won't likely see the field. Murphy can be left off of fantasy rosters for 2019.
Marcus Murphy rushed six times for 33 yards in the Bills' preseason opener.
Fantasy Impact
Murphy had a short stretch of almost-relevance at times in 2018, including two games over 10 carries. However, he's not likely to get any meaningful work in 2019 with the addition of Frank Gore, T.J. Yeldon, and Devin Singletary.
Marcus Murphy suffered his dislocated elbow Week 15 and will be placed on injured reserve by the Bills.
Fantasy Impact
Murphy was filling in for LeSean McCoy and Chris Ivory. Both could return Week 16, while Murphy isn't likely to enter 2019 as much more than a role player in Buffalo.
