Week 12 Outlook
Availability
Newly signed Atlanta Falcons WR Lance Moore has announced his retirement from the NFL after 10 seasons in the league.
Fantasy Impact
Moore unexpectedly retired from the NFL on Monday just days after signing with the club. If Moore's career is, in fact, over, he will have accounted for 389 receptions for 4,816 yards and 44 touchdowns over a 10-year span in the NFL.
The Atlanta Falcons have signed free-agent WR Lance Moore on Friday.
Fantasy Impact
The Atlanta Falcons brought in Moore to seemingly compete for a roster spot and add depth to the wide receiver position behind Julio Jones, Justin Hardy and Mohamed Sanu. Moore had a serviceable campaign with the Lions in 2015 where he caught 29 targets for 337 yards and four touchdowns. He will have to make the final 53-man cut and see playing time to garner any legitimate fantasy value in 2016.
Lance Moore (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday night.
Fantasy Impact
With Calvin Johnson questionable this could lead to more opportunities for Golden Tate as Moore has had 4 TDs on the season compared to Tate's 2.
Detroit Lions' wide receiver Lance Moore turned in another good game in Week 6 against the Chicago Bears, catching 5 of 6 targets for 106 yards and a score.
Fantasy Impact
Moore now has 14 targets over the last two games, but he is unlikely to develop consistent fantasy value playing behind target hogs Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate. Still, he could be worth a speculative add in deeper leagues, seeing as how the Lions are typically playing from behind and lack anything resembling a run game.
Detroit Lions' wide receiver Lance Moore nabbed six of eight targets for 55 yards and a touchdown in the Lions' Week 5 loss to the Cardinals.
Fantasy Impact
A distant third on the Lions’ receiving depth chart, Moore’s fantasy contributions this year will be few and far between. He's no more than a WR 4/5 in the deepest of leagues.
