Knile Davis setting sights on comeback

Despite being traded or waived from three separate teams in 2016, Knile Davis now hangs his hat in Pittsburgh. His one-year deal is worth $775,000 and doesn't carry high expectations for the fifth-year back. However, that isn't to say he doesn't carry them himself. Davis recently stated, "...I'm very confident. I know what's going on, on and off the field, the business side of it. It's like a coming back party. I'd like to redeem myself, for sure."

Fantasy Impact

The journeyman has never been an impact player, but he is looking at an opportuinty to carve out a pivotal role on a playoff projected team. Given the risk-to-reward ratio is far off in regards to Antonio Brown, Davis will compete with Demarcus Ayers and Fitz Toussaint for the role of return-man. The Steelers finally have multiple options at kick/punt return, so it may be safe to expect an increase in productivity.

Knile Davis signs with Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed free agent running back Knile Davis to a one-year deal on Monday.

Fantasy Impact

Davis, who spent portions of the 2016 season with Kansas City and Green Bay, signed with the Steelers Monday. The situational rusher and return specialist is coming off of his most underwhelming season of his four-year career last season totaling only 53 yards on 23 touches. He is not on the fantasy radar entering 2017.

Knile Davis INACTIVE against Steelers

Knile Davis is officially inactive for the Kansas City Chiefs for their Divisional Round matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Davis is a healthy scratch.

Fantasy Impact

Davis being inactive is a bit of a surprise, as he is the team's primary kick returner. With Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West will see most of the activity in the backfield, with some Tyreek Hill likely sprinkled in, and some combination of Hill and DeAnthony Thomas will return kicks.

Knile Davis returns to Chiefs, plays in Week 9

Knile Davis returned to the Chiefs last week after being traded to and cut by the Packers and signed and released by the Jets, and he immediately suited up for the Chiefs in Week 9. He played sparingly, though, and only totaled four touches for 17 yards.

Fantasy Impact

Knile Davis likely did not enjoy bouncing around the NFL for a few weeks, but he is back in Kansas City with his original team. Davis is slightly more valuable now that Jamaal Charles is on injured reserve, but he will only see any real work if Spencer Ware goes down for an extended period of time. Davis is not worth owning as of right now.

Knile Davis returns to Kansas City

Tha Kansas City Chiefs signed RB Knile Davis on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact

Davis is back in Kansas City where he started after a long week of traveling. He will likely be active on Sunday against Jacksonville with Jamaal Charles and Spencer Ware unavailable. Davis has little fantasy value upon his return to the Chiefs barring a long-term injury to West or Ware.
