Kimani Vidal gains 34 yards in Week 14

Kimani Vidal carried the ball eight times for 34 yards and was unable to catch his lone target in a 19-17 loss to the Chiefs in Week 14.

Fantasy Impact

Vidal mixed in behind starter Gus Edwards and turned in a productive game, averaging 4.3 yards per carry for a career-high 34 rushing yards. The rookie has slowly earned more work as the season has gone on and can be treated as the main handcuff to Edwards moving forward. Vidal should be rostered in deeper fantasy leagues heading into a Week 15 matchup against the Buccaneers.

Kimani Vidal sees four carries in Week 13

Kimani Vidal ran for 20 yards on four carries in the Chargers 17-13 win over the Falcons.

Fantasy Impact

Vidal mixed into the Chargers backfield behind Gus Edwards with J.K. Dobbins sidelined. He should continue to hold a role, but his fantasy upside is limited.

Kimani Vidal inactive for Week 12

Chargers RB Kimani Vidal will not be active for Week 12's Monday night matchup vs. the Ravens.

Fantasy Impact

Vidal has not been activated since Week 9, as the veterans J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards and Hassan Haskins have filled the active RB slots for the Chargers since. Expect this arrangement to remain the same, barring any injuries to LA's backfield.

Kimani Vidal officially inactive for Week 10

Chargers RB Kimani Vidal is officially inactive for Week 10.

Fantasy Impact

Vidal will serve as a healthy scratch for Sunday's matchup with the Titans. Gus Edwards will return to the roster and likely serve as the backup to J.K. Dobbins.

Kimani Vidal uninvolved in loss to Arizona

Kimani Vidal ran for 10 yards on three carries and caught his only target for 9 yards in the Chargers MNF loss to Arizona.

Fantasy Impact

Vidal looks firmly behind starter J.K. Dobbins in the backfield right now. He could get more opportunities if Dobbins continues to struggle with efficiency, but we'd have to hear more about a role expansion from the coaching staff to take that narrative anywhere beyond plain speculation. He's a bench stash in deeper formats but in most leagues he is best left on waivers.
