Kevon Seymour released by Ravens

Kevon Seymour is being released by the Ravens. He is expected to be re-signed once the Ravens place players on the IR.

Fantasy Impact

Seymour will not hit waivers and reportedly had a strong camp. It seems as though he will end up back on the Ravens in short order.

Kevon Seymour (shoulder) sent to injured reserve

Carolina Panthers have placed cornerback Kevon Seymour (shoulder) on injured reserve.

Fantasy Impact

This should essentially lock rookie cornerback Donte Jackson into a starting role as the team's number two cornerback. Unless there were some transactions to happen, Seymour was Jacksons only real competition. IDP owners may want to look at Jackson as a designated cornerback option.

Kevon Seymour struggles in first preseason game

Kevon Seymour started Thursday night’s preseason contest opposite rookie Donte Jackson at cornerback and was picked on by his former team. He gave up three passes including Benjamin’s touchdown and was flagged for pass interference. Starting cornerback James Bradberry did not suit up on Thursday night versus Buffalo.

Fantasy Impact

If Kevon Seymour continues to struggle it should open the door for IDP owners to invest in a solid IDP option with second-round rookie Donte Jackson. Camp reports on Jackson are all positive and whoever starts across from above average James Bradberry should be tested early and often throughout the season.
