The Titans have agreed to terms with Kenneth Murray on a two-year deal worth $15.5 million with a max value of $18 million.
Fantasy Impact
Murray, a former first-round pick, struggled in his time with the Chargers. He'll add some depth to the linebacker room for the Titans.
Los Angeles Chargers star linebacker Kenneth Murray has been placed on IR with an ankle injury.
Fantasy Impact
Murray was a late addition to the injury report, popping up with an ankle injury on Saturday. The injury has been deemed severe enough to cause him to miss multiple games, so the Chargers have placed him on short-term injured reserve so they can make use of his roster spot. He will be eligible to return in three weeks, which makes Week 8 a potential target date. Los Angeles will be a little thin in the middle without Murray. Fantasy managers will want to look outside of the Chargers depth chart for a short-term replacement for their LB2.
First-round draft choice out of Oklahoma LB Kenneth Murray has agreed to terms on his four-year, $13M contract with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Fantasy Impact
Now both Chargers first round draft picks, Justin Herbert and Murray, are under contract for four years. Being first-round picks, both players’ contracts come with a fifth-year option. Murray had 303 total tackles and eight sacks in three seasons at Oklahoma, and should fit perfectly into Los Angeles’ defensive scheme.
The Los Angeles Chargers have selected former Oklahoma linebacker Kenneth Murray with the No. 23 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft after acquiring the pick from the New England Patriots.
Fantasy Impact
The Los Angeles Chargers raised some eyebrows by trading back into the first round, but hit a home run by selecting Kenneth Murray. An explosive sideline to sideline linebacker with a non stop motor, Murray is the answer at linebacker Los Angeles has been seeking for years. A tackle machine who can rush the passer, Murray has immediate LB1 upside in IDP leagues.
