Miami Dolphins CB Keion Crossen has been ruled out for the 2023 season with a “freak injury.”

Dolphins’ GM Chris Grier relayed the news Wednesday, but did not give specifics on the injury. The veteran cornerback was placed on season-ending injured reserve.

The Dolphins have agreed to terms with CB Keion Crossen to the tune of three years and $10.5 million.

The former seventh round draft pick by New England will be entering his fifth season on his fourth team. Known for his abilities on special teams, Crossen hasn't seen much action of late on defense recording only 13 tackles while on the field as a CB. He is a boost to Miami which finished 22nd in the league in special teams rating.
